Back, to the future..

While studying architecture at the University of Melbourne,
I participated as a volunteer in a UNESCO World Heritage project:

Vijayanagara Archeological Field Research
Hampi, Karnataka, India

Two weeks in the field of ruins in what was
left of a once mighty Moghul Empire, Vijayanagara..
Surveying and recording every stone, detail and dilapidation,
understanding how a civilization once lived, thrived, and collapsed.

Little was I to comprehend
that journey into middle India was
the inflexion point deep in a young psyche
to guide and shape a life over the next 25 years.
